Let's see.. for Christmas I didn't ask for anything, but I got dried papaya pieces which I love as much as the tablets!

After running around the racetrack floor I slept if off.



Then mommy caught me as I was relaxing, I think it's my legs.




Let's see.. 2005 was about: being cute, Mommy expanding my racetrack to the whole room except her bed, trying new dried fruits, me turning 1 years old, getting along with Mr.PickMeUp.

2006 we can look forward to: more of all of the above!

Happy Birthday to Me!

Mommy says today is the day she got me from her mommy and I'm 1 years old! She says "her little boy is growing up so fast". I like growing. You have to eat to grow!

Today is also "Hal-o-ween", it's suppose to be a scary day with dressing up. I wish I was scary! Because today is my birthday, I'm a rabbit for Hal-o-ween, not a bunny. Don't I look all grown up?

Mommy gave me an apple tasting stick toy and some cantaloupe! Mmm, can we have more birthdays?

Remi's mom: Thank you for the comments on my last post! Well, I have yet to purchase a new mate for Remi. After some consideration I'm not quite sure I have the space in the bedroom of my shared apartment. My main problem is I just upgraded Remi's cage and if I buy another bun they will most definitely need a larger one to share. That would leave me with two older cages, and probably out around $100, along with the price of a large one. Sigh. I still am highly considering another bun nonetheless.

Also, I recently bought a toy ring with two wooden carrots on it from Petco. Although he likes throwing it around, I noticed he'd already nibbled off the ear of the plastic rabbit head which made me take it away in worry. Is it alright for him to nibble on the plastic?

New eating-thing!

Mommy says there is a new grocery store for bunnies in town. It's called a "petco". She went to the "petco" and bought me a new eating-thing! She says I've wasted too much uneaten hay, so this is teaching me to be "neater". She is lucky I like pulling hay pieces from this!

Mmm, hay-puller.


Mommy also says she's thinking about a new playmate for me. A "girl" she says. She is the same as me, only grey and white, younger, fixed (was she broken?) and $100 dollars. She doesn't know if she is ready to take on two of us though. I just hope this "girl" is as much fun as I am!

Sorry fellow readers~ After mommy's over a week-long "in-ter-net" problem, we're back! And I have a few things to say.

First off.. I'm enjoying the Oxbow very much! At first I wasn't too sure about those round fruit-smelling tablets, but now I have a keen rabbit ear toward whenever mommy opens the container. Mmmm. Let alone the new hay, and I've warmed up to the new pellets too!

Second, I'm almost over my shedding. And I have not been too happy! Well, more of the usual.. laying around.. shedding.. laying some more.. collecting hairballs in the corners of my cage. Heheh~

Treats! Treats!

Yay! Mommy went shopping today and brought home a bagful of new things!

And best of all.... I can eat every one! Mmm.

Shopping may be a girl thing, but Oxbow is mine!

Finding the right piece to eat is like a needle in an Oxbow haystack.

Remi's Mom: Since we're living in NYC for the summer, I'm taking full advantage of the numerous pet stores in the area. After taking the advice of Simone's Mama to go for Oxbow, I googled if any store carried the brand. Success! I figured it was better than paying the $10+ in shipping and handling to have it sent all the way from out west. (And a thanks to Simone's Mama for the pellet advice!)

Ohh yes, I joined the Papaya bandwagon! I'm excited to give these to him considering I don't usually buy much fruit. I'm saving them for the moment since I already gave him some new things. He'd better be a good boy!

Does refrigerating the bottle help perserve them? I would think they're the same as vitamins, all freeze-dried sort-of.
